Paperchase loyalty card

I have so many loyalty cards I'm on the search for a new large purse to hold them all but the most recent addition to my collection is the Paperchase Loyalty Card. 'Treat Me' Offers a range of benefits to card holders including free click and collect, a £5 treat on your birthday and free coffee in certain stores.

With 15% off your first purchase after signing up I've been browsing trying to decide what to treat myself too. The Flamingo notecards are cute enough to encourage me to send some letters - I'm terrible when it comes to handwritten post and will usually opt for a quick text. I'm pretty impressed with the range of stickers too. The fitness set include tick boxes to monitor things like your five a day, water intake and squats. I've previously only seen these being sold on Etsy so for a planner addict like myself, I'll be snapping a few of these up.

Have you signed up to the loyalty scheme yet?

New York City themed wishlist

Guess what.. I'm going to New York! I'm so excited I'll tell anybody who'll listen about the trip I'll be embarking on in 192 days. Yeah, 192. That's March in case you don't want to do the maths yourself. I know, I know.. it's a little premature but I've been wanting to go to the Big Apple my whole life, it's even on my bucket list so I just cannot contain my excitement.

The scratch off map from ASOS is a must buy, it'll be great to keep in a scrapbook of the trip and I'm desperate for the New York necklace from Topshop too.

Have you been to NYC? Do you have any advice, tips or even a blog post about it? If you do please link it below, I'll definitely be reading them.

Spring Interior Wishlist

At the start of every season I give my room a little refresh to keep my interiors in keeping with the time of year. As my room is quite neutral a few new items of decor are all it takes for a transformation and, with spring on the horizon, I've been eyeing up some new bits and bobs.

When I pack away my brushed cotton snowflake bedding and winter scented candles I'll be replacing them with fresh floral prints and fresh scents. In an ideal world I'd buy fresh flowers each week but when I'm not at home enough to appreciate them during the week it seems like a bit of a waste so I'll keep faking it for the time being. Yankee Candle's new range Pure Essence includes the candle Aloe Water, promised to be clean and refreshing, perfect for a spring clean feeling each day.

Are you going to spruce up your space for spring?

Six weeks to summer: #1 Wishlist

These past few days in the UK have given us a taste of summer and if it's taught me anything, it's that I'm extremely unprepared. From my summer wardrobe to all too chubby thighs, it's safe to say I have a lot of work to do before I jet off on my holidays 6 weeks today.

I'm crazy excited to feel the maltese sun on my skin whilst sipping on a cocktail or two but of course there's a fair few purchases I'll need to make to get me looking the part. Naturally I've been partaking in a fair amount of online window shopping and here's what I've been lusting after..

1/2/3/4/5/6

Packing light is not my speciality and with that in mind I'm going to make a conscious effort to not overpack for this holiday. I'm only going away for a week and pretty summer dresses I could wear for day or night and shorts/skorts/skirts I can pair up with a selection of different tops are on my shopping list. I don't need any more sunglasses but I ALWAYS end up either losing or breaking them (just me?!) so I might pick up a few more pairs. These Topshop ones are adorable but ideally I'll come across a much cheaper pair in Primark so when I do misplace them it won't be such a big deal.

The ever so bright dress is not my usual style at home but on holiday I love to go all out and hopefully won't feel like I stand out like a sore thumb. The frill on top is ever so flattering for my body type which is.. er.. lacking in the boob department by giving a little shape. So much so, I was over the moon to find a similar detail on quite a few costumes/bikinis. This blue little number is from Asda which has a surprisingly good range at the minute.

Basic crop tops are a must and paired with patterned shorts give a sort of effortless look. Most shorts I've found on the highstreet lately have been far too revealing in the bum cheek area so box fit shorts seem the way to go. As for shoes comfort is the key but they also need to easily match a fair few outfits so when I'm not wearing flip flops, I'll hopefully be sporting some white sandals.

1/2/3/4/5/6

I find there's nothing worse than wearing a full face of make up on holiday so I'll really keep it to a minimum but I do like a bit of coverage so a good concealer is a must. To pair with it I found Garnier's factor 50 sun cream/BB cream. I'm not sure how good this is but I have high hopes and will definitely be purchasing it. Even in the daytime sat round the pool I like to wear mascara. I just don't feel right without it so I need to get my hands on a waterproof one that doesn't break the bank. Maybelline's offering caught my eye just because of the rather dramatic name 'illegal length'.

For nails and lips I'll go bold, very bold! Although I'm not a massive fan of Barry M's Gelly polish, this shade Satsuma looks too good to pass up. Bourjois' liquid lipsticks are supposed to last up to 24 hours. I have no idea why anybody would need it to last that long and it is quite a claim but on holiday staying power is a must. When bar hopping and sipping a few cocktails in the sun I don't want to worried about my lips melting down my face so I'm hoping this will keep them looking perfect. This shade is called Pink Pong and I think I might be in love with it!

Finally a little skincare treat. I've been wanting to try Origins 'Drink Up' over night mask for so long after hearing lost of people bigging it up. I fly during the night so I plan on taking off my make up before boarding a lathering this on my skin. I'll probably use it each night I'm away as a treat for my skin after a long hot day.

I'd love to know if you have tried any of these products and if you have any reviews or recommendations then feel free to leave them in teh comments.

What plans do you have for the summer? Are you jetting off somewhere hot or opting for a staycation?

Birthday Wish List: Entertainment

I always appreciate a voucher I can spend at HMV or a book shop. There's currently lots of DVDs on my 'to buy' list including lots of Disney films we used to own on VHS but never quite made the transition and box sets of my most loved series.

1. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. - My desire for this book is entirely down to tumblr. I've read so many quotes and seen so many softly edited photos of this on bedside tables and bookshelves alike that I waited and waited for it to be released in the UK. All I know so far is that the main character is a shy girl who feels much more comfortable within the confines of the online world than in person.

2. Arctic Monkeys 'AM' on vinyl. - I mentioned in my homeware post here that I wanted to display my most loved vinyls on the feature wall in my bedroom. AM is one of my favourite albums of the past decade so whilst the vinyl sat in the record player I'd like to display the sleeve in the frame.

3. Frozen soundtrack. - If you haven't yet seen frozen you're definitely missing out. Although I've gotta be honest and say I much prefer Tangled, the soundtrack to Frozen is unbelievable. Idina Menzel: just wow! I like it so much that I'm more concerned about getting the soundtrack than the film when it's finally released next month. Sings *Here I stand aaaand here I'll stay.. let the storm rage onnnnn*

4. DAB radio & docking station. - For years I've loved the look of the vintage style DAB radios with Cath Kidston-esque print but always thought they were a little too pricey (despite the fact I spend hours listening to the radio each day).Having written them off I somehow stumbled across this one on amazon that includes a docking station and is a bargain £69! I love colour and the style. It's perfect :)

5. New Girl series 1&2. - *Who's that girl?? IT'S JESS* I'm the biggest Zooey Deschanel fan and so New Girl is the sitcom of my dreams. Funny quirky girl hangs out with strange boys and inevitably falls madly in love with one. I've watched the series over and over on Netflix but when I love something so much I think it's only right that I have it on DVD too. I must admit, I've had mixed feelings about season three but I'm sticking with it.

What's on your wish list lately? Are there any film/book/tv recommendations you have for me? If you'd like to see the rest of my birthday wish list posts you can do so here.

Birthday Wish List: Fashion

1. Moon pendant necklace. - Lately my jewellery box (read shelf) is full of chunky statement pieces which is all well and good until I want to go for a simple understated look. This moon necklace is a simple, pretty go-to piece and not to mention an absolute bargain.

2. Blue cropped knitted jumper. - Perfect for spring, this will fit easily into my wardrobe. I'd wear it  on top of a monochrome polka dot blouse or on its own with some high-waisted jeans.

3. Toy Story Pjymamas. - Is it just me or is there a serious lack of Adult Disney/Pixar PJs from anywhere other than Primark. Even the Disney shop itself has a poor offering for us 'grown-ups'. Toy Story is my favourite Disney movie of all time and I've been looking for PJs (and a double bed cover) for so long! Finally Topshop have answered my prayers albeit with  a little hefty price tag for something I'll just wear indoors. Go to uni in you Pyjamas day anybody?!

4. LA mix tee. - I've fallen in love with so many on these American style jersey T's from Primark but so has everybody else and I see people wearing them everywhere. I saw this Project Social one in Topshop and kind of have my heart set on it now.

5. Acid wash skinny jeans. - For the longest time I've been trying to find the perfect acid wash skinny jeans or jeggings and definitely wasn't expecting to stumble across them in Asda! George's offering aren't quite as high waisted as I'd like but other than that they're perfect and for £14 I need them in my life!

6. White Chelsea cut-out boots. -Monochrome heels weren't ever something I thought I'd want. Especially ones that are predominantly white. I saw these online during one of my 'fill the shopping basket with things you love and then empty it and cry about how poor you are' sessions (I'm not the only one who does this right?!) and before I knew it I'd fallen in love and a hoard of outfit ideas were springing into mind. Now I haven't seen them in real life and when I do my opinion could change massively but for now they shall remain on my wish list.

What's currently on your wish list? Do you like anything on mine? If you haven't seen my previous birthday wish list posts you can view them all here.

Birthday Wish List: Homeware

I've been in the process of redesigning my bedroom for so long now but living half at home and half at uni makes it almost impossible to do it in a reasonable length of time. For my birthday I've picked out a few things I'd either like to receive, buy with my birthday money or treat myself to.

1. Record frame. - As part of my photo feature wall I'd use this to display my favourite vinyl records. You can end up paying a pretty penny for these frames but I managed to source this one for less than £2. Bargain!

2. Pink flamingo cushion. - My walls are cream and blue so any accent of pink in my room really pops. This cushion is from Fearne Cotton's homeware range on very.co.uk, it's definitely a range worth looking at if you're in the market for some new homeware.

3. Rob Ryan notebook. - Rob Ryan is my favourite artist. His ability to combine delicate laser cut with the most beautiful of words never fails to astound me. I already own a purse, mugs and calendar with his print on and I even own an original laser cut out but despite admiring them for years I've never owned a notebook. Now i'm trying to blog more this would be perfect for making notes and would sit very pretty on my desk.

4. Acrylic nail polish display. - Currently my go-to nail polishes sit in a line on  my desk and get changed around with each season that passes. Trouble is, I have so many that it's beginning to look a little untidy. This display would be the perfect way to organise them.

5. Bunny cake yankee candle. - Bunny + cake? Erm yes please! This sweet vanilla and coconut scent isn't too overpowering and the colour will look stunning in my room. It's part of their Easter range so I hope to get it whilst I can

6. Bunny tea light holder. - Also from the Yankee Candle Easter range, this adorable tea light holder would look perfect in my room all year round.

What's on your wish list lately? Do you have a favourite from mine? If you'd like to see the rest of my birthday wish lists you can do so here.

Birthday Wish List: Beauty

Hip hip hooray! It's nearly my Birthday! In two weeks and two days I'll be celebrating my birthday with family, friends, lots of food and undoubtedly lots of wine! I thought I'd share with you what's on my wishlist so here's the beauty bits I'm hoping to get my hands.

1. L'oreal Paris Miss Manga Mascara. I've tried countless different mascaras but never bought the same one twice because I haven't yet fallen in love. The adverts for this mascara promise volume with a brush that works its magic on upper and lower lashes.

2. Barry M Silk Collection - Blue Mist. After first hearing about these on Barry M's facebook page I've been desperate to get my hands on them but I've been on a little spending ban. I've now read countless reviews and there's a few colours I have my eye on. Blue Mist seems perfect for spring and I don't have another colour quite like it in my collection.

3. Models Own Hypergel Nail Polish - Lilac Sheen. Another colour to add to my spring collection, I love the gel effect and the professional finish it gives to the at home mani.

4. Revlon Matte Lipstick - Pink pout. When it comes to lipstick I must admit I'm not so adventurous. This colour is right up my street and I've heard it's a great dupe for Mac Snob.

5. Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer. I've never ventured further than Collection's infamous offering that everybody seems to love but lately I've been looking for something different. I'm impressed with all of the S&G make up I've tried so far and I hope it stays that way.

6. Estee Lauder Eu De Parfum - Modern Muse. Around Christmas time I had a free sample and fell completely in love with this fragrance. I'm terrible at describing scents so I won't even try but it's worth a sniff if you're at the perfume counter.

I'd love to know what's on your wish list lately. Have you tried any of these products?

A/W 13 Wishlist: Tartan

It's pretty difficult not to find yourself bombarded with tartan in most high street shops right now and I've managed to resist temptation until I saw Lucy Watson on last night's Made In Chelsea sporting a gorgeous tartan dress. It got me searching online this evening and here's what i found.

Tartan Dreams

I really love bold Tartan pieces like the leggings, top and coat. They definitely make a statement and scream 'I'm so on trend'. Saying that, if I was to buy only one item from this wish list it would be the pinafore style dress. The subtle colour make it more wearable and it could easily be dressed down for a spot of lunch and shopping or dressed up for an evening at the local bar.

I will most likely be investing in some accent pieces to accessorise outfits. At this time of year a pop of colour in an all black outfit really boosts my mood and so I'll be tracking down a tartan scarf in the coming weeks. I love scarves, you'll come to learn this :) Finally, how cute is the flag style necklace! I can just imagine wearing it with a plain skater dress, cosy tights and ankle boots.

Have you indulged in any tartan purchases this season? If so, I'd love to know what.

Love, Lucy
